Was busy baking and cooking

I am really tired today coz I was busy cooking and baking.I cooked "pansit" or the sauteed noodles and "embutido" or steam meat with vegestables.I also baked muffins, vanilla cake and made buttercream frosting. My husband did the grilled the big thigh part of the turkey.

With all the food that we prepared today and to think that we are only three at home,it's really a lot!!! we couldn't even finish even a single dish :)There are lots of left overs. If only I could send some of those to my family in the Philippines through the computer screen,it would be nice hahahaha.

Eating choucroute

The other day,my husband cooked a delicious and meaty choucroute.Normally,it is a specialty of Alsace region here in France.I really like this food but we don't eat it often since it has lots of fatty meats. My husband teased me that we just have to eat the food and worry later :) I told my husband that we should avoid eating a lot of fatty foods coz both us get bigger and bigger.I always remind him but he just love to eat those kind of foods.

Eating cassoulet

We had a nice dinner yesterday. My husband cooked again his delicious cassoulet. It's a dish with beans, sausages and some kind of meat. It's good but a fatty food. But I do not care anyways,I want to eat the food I like but with control. Before,I eat 3 plates with rice but now I tend to moderate.Just 1 plate of food and a minimum quantity of rice.I really hope to lose weight soon.

Eat all you can in Davao

Everytime we visit Davao we usually eat at eat all you can restaurants such as Dencios and Sea food grill to name a few for 130 pesos. The other restaurants in Davao that caters eat all you can are Nanay Bebeng,Buffet Palace,Saluhan Coffee Shop that are also affordable. For me it's practical coz you can have appetizer, viands, desserts and sometimes drink included in one price. And,everytime you go out the restaurant, you are surely full and satisfied :).

I really miss the foods in Davao, how I wish we can go back there soon.

Doner kebab

Doner Kebab is our favorite food,me and my husband eat this oftentimes since there are many kebab diner here in France especially in capital region.Even here in our new place, you can see a lot of them.By the way, doner kebab is a Turkish dish made of meat such as lamb, beef and chicken grilled vertically from the rotating spit.We prefer to eat this over hamburgers in the foodchain since an order of this food could make your stomach full.

I remembered when we were in Greece, they have the same food too. They have some kebabs too.

Italian pasta with cream and tuna flakes

I like to make this dish coz it's one of the favorite foods of my husband and I love it too.To make a change for the usual pasta with tomato sauce,I made this one with cream and with tuna flakes.I just boiled the pasta with seasoning cube. Then when it's already cooked, put the cream, tuna flakes, mozarella cheese, grounded fried garlic and onion, chopped green onions and parsley and black pepper to taste. After you mixed all the ingredients with the pasta, you're done and it's ready to serve. It's so easy to prepare and I can assure you will have a very delicious meal.

Vietnamese soup

Aside from Chinese and Japanese foods,I also like to eat Vietnamese foods.Like what I've said in my previous post,we don't often go to the restaurant.I like to cook and I want to prepare dishes at home rather than dining at the restaurant.Sometimes,I just look and taste the food and after that I'll try to cook it at home :)In these photos,I made a vietnamese soup that I like but I made some changes coz I didn't have some spices for the soup instead I just sauté ginger, garlic and onion for the soup but it turned out great and delicious!

Pork with black beans

Actually it's an overdue post but I decided to post it though. It's one of my husband's favorite dish I prepared. If you are always cooking the traditional adobo style, why not try pork with black beans for a change?I guarantee you,it's very delicious!masarap talaga to the max :)

It's so simple and easy to do,you can use chicken fillet too.First, sauté garlic and onions. When the garlic started to get brown and the onions get translucent, add the pork, cook it for a while. Then add some soysauce, the black beans,a little water(my husband likes sauce :) and I added star anise too, to give more flavor.Put some pepper and glutamate to taste.Just simmer it after mixing all the ingredients and that's it!

Tarte aux Fraises (Strawberry Pie)

Here in France, usually the desserts comme gateaux are in tarte with fruits. Not the usual pie I see in the Philippines. Here they love putting any kinds of seasonal fruits on their cakes or pies.

I had some strawberries in the fridge so I made tarte aux fraises or strawberry pie in english.Normally I use it for strawberry shake,my husband loves it but since I haven't baked for sometime now and I wanted to eat a gateaux.I love doing it because it's easy to make and it's so delicious!

Here's the photo of my homemade strawberry pie.
