Batu Caves,Malaysia

Batu Caves is one of the known landmarks in Malaysia. It is a Hindu shrine that has several caves and is dedicated to their Lord Murugan. Here, you can also see the tallest statue of Murugan ( 140 ft )in the world as they say.The place is so beautiful and so are the statues in the temples.I was really amazed seeing how tall the statue of Murugan is.Walking up to the top was really tiring. It was so steep and it has 272 steps.

That time it was so hot since it was summertime and my children were already tired (to think we just started our day )so I was the only one who went up at first. But the second time, since there were lots of monkeys up there, alex want to see them and also to give food as well.We climbed up and just stay at the middle. My children were happy to encounter those monkeys :)

By the way,it's outside Kuala Lumpur so if your coming from the capital(city center ),I suggest you hire a taxi to go there just like we did.It is more convenient than taking bus or train.

Sri Mariamman Temple,Singapore

Sri Mariamman Temple is one of the Hindu temples in Singapore.I read that it's the oldest Hindu temple in the country. It is located in Chinatown. So after shopping for our souvenirs in Chinatown we headed straight to this temple.I can say that this temple and Sri Krishnan temple in Bugis area are so beautiful and clean. The place is so colorful as well as the statues. No doubt that it's one of the tourist atrractions in Sinagpore.
