My christmas gift to my husband

The other day when we went to the mall,I was still searching for the gift that I have to give to my husband.I couldn't yet decide which one to give.First,I went to the book section, looking for some new sorties of his favorite authors but was dismayed coz he already had those books.Good thing I asked him :)After that I went to the men's polo shirt section.I saw some nice polo shirts with cool designs and colors.I guess it would be nice for my husband.

Still on deciding what to buy,I went to the electronics and appliances section,I saw a raclette grill with fondue pot.I remember my husband wanted to replace our very old raclette grill coz it's much outdated and also he wanted to have a granite stone grill on top.And also having a fondue pot,it would be nice for me to finally try the "fondue".So I bought it.Besides,we love eating raclette and at the same time,we also have fun doing it.

I was thinking of the polo shirt but I will buy it on his birthday instead.I just hope my husband would like my christmas gift to him.

My son is so excited for christmas day!

Two nights more and it's christmas eve.My son is so excited,he couldn't wait anymore to see his gifts under the christmas tree. He's been asking us if Santa Claus will really passby and leave some gifts for him.We assured him that he will get the gifts he wanted coz we already sent the letter to Pere Noel (Santa Claus).I remembered how happy he was when his father wrote the letter. He kept on telling the gifts hahaha!

My husband told me that if a child wrote a letter addressed to Santa Claus, the post office staff will reply by sending card or letter to the sender.I just hope that he will have fun and be happy on christmas day.

It snowed a lot here!

Yes,it snowed a lot here in France and some parts of europe.Last week,we couldn't go out coz our car slipped whenever we tried. We couldn't even get to the gate not having slipped. So Alex was absent at school for almost a week.Besides we were not feeling well too because of colds.Good thing that we have enough food in our pantry that will last for 2 weeks or more if the snow condition becomes worse.

It rained today so hopefully tomorrow there will be no more snow and ice on the roads.

Jess and Lanie were eliminated in TARA 4

I have been glued to The Amazing Race Asia nowadays. It is more exciting this year coz the 2 Philippine teams are part of the top 4.Both teams did very well on the early legs of the race. But I was very disappointed this week coz one of my favorite teams was eliminated.Yes,Lanie and Jess were eliminated huhuhu.

I am rooting for them or the 2 Riches to win this season of TARA.They were first at the previous leg but due to money shortage, they couldn't pay for the taxi to show them the way just like the other teams did. They had a hard time communicating with the locals in Korea since some of them don't speak english.

I thought it was a non elimination leg coz the final will be on Dec 9 2010.I thought it will be the same as the TAR (american version) that second to the last episode is NEL.Sad that Jess and Lanie are not part of the race now.

Hope this time,Philippines will win!

Thrilling episode 9 of TARA(The Amazing Race Asia) 4

Thanks to Youtube and the uploader,I am able to watch every episode of The Amazing Race Asia. The season will be ended soon and the lasts episodes are becoming more and more exciting as the final approaches.I am happy that the 2 Philippine teams are still on the race.

It was really a thrilling episode last night coz the Philippine team and Malaysian team are fighting for the 4th place in that leg.The Malaysian team did a wrong detour choice that took them so long. The Philippine team (the Richards) took a big mistake by taking a private vehicle to go to their destination. It's a big No No in the race to have a free ride, the racers must pay for the transportation in every destination they go.Good thing that the Richards corrected their mistake but it took them more than an hour to go back to the previous destination. It was a very close fight.Fortunately the Philippine team is still on the race and the Malaysian team got eliminated.

I am hoping that the 2 Philippines will be on the top 3 and hopefully wins this time.

Making takoyaki

Two weeks ago,I saw a takoyaki grill pan for sale on the net but unfortunately it was in Davao. So I called my family there and let them know about it.I told them that they have to buy the takoyaki grill pan coz it's very rare to see it for sale in Davao.

They finally have it and they tried making some takoyaki balls.Their first attempt wasn't bad at all. They said it tasted good.I am happy that they have the grill pan coz now, they can make and eat takoyaki whenever they want.

The Amazing Race Asia 4

I am happy that this year,The Amazing Race Asia is back.I have waited it since last year.Glad that I can watch again another installment of this amazing race around the world.Of course I am rooting for the two Philippines teams, the two Richards and the two party girls;Lani and Jess. The Philippine leg was so awesome! The Richards were the second team to arrive in the pit stop.If only they chose the easiest task in intersection, they could have won the Philippine leg.

I just hope that the two teams will be part of the final three and hopefully win the race.

Palawan,Philippines

Palawan is one of the places in Philippines that I really wanted to visit someday. The place has lots of beautiful beachesand diving spots.Nature is more preserve,it's more laidback there compared to the other major cities of Philippines. So it's a good place if you want to relax and be close to nature.

Whenever I see some travel photos of Palawan,it urges me to go there and see the place especially Coron and El Nido.I just hope that my husband will finally want to visit the place.Travel wise,it's kind'a far from Davao since it doesn't have a direct flight from there.

For me,Palawan is definitely a one great destination if you are looking for a relax, fun and adventure kind of vacation.

Went to the park

Last Sunday we had a bright sunny day that we decided to go to the park of Montlucon. The park is located near the medieval village of the city.Though it's already autumn here, the park has still lots of flowers blooming like it was still on summer and the trees are dominantly green in color.Indeed,we had a very nice prominade that day!

As usual we took some photos :)

Beautiful Philippines!

Philippines is a beautiful country with lots of interesting places to visit. With it's 7107 islands,I'm sure the country has a lot to offer to it's visitors.I am a Filipino but yet I am still stranger or a tourist to my own country if I may say.I have never been to other places aside from Davao,Manila,Cebu and Cotabato.

I wanted to visit some other places in Philippines coz I want to discover the beauty of my own country.I have seen many beautiful photos of Palawan,Boracay,Bohol and Camiguin and it really made me want to see those places.I really would like to show my family how beautiful my country Philippines is.

Bangkok airport

One of the international airports that I like is the Suvarnabhumi Airport in Bangkok Thailand. It is big, nice and clean. The toilets are always clean. There are many restaurants and stores to go to when you are hungry. There are also big thai statues in every lanes(it's the place where you check-in).

What I like the most is that there are many orchids and some plants everywhere in the airport.Even in the toilets, they put many orchids inside.I'm sure the tourists really appreciate the efforts of thais to keep their aiport's beautiful and clean.

I miss my family in Davao

Yes,I really miss my family in Davao.Eventhough we just arrived from a very long vacation in Philippines,I really wanted to go back there.Though sometimes my siblings are stubborns and we have some little problems but still I love them and I wanted to be with them.If only I could,I wanted to stay and probaby live there. But my husband couldn't bear the heat and the noise of the animals so my dream of living there again vanished.

Sad to say that we have to wait another 2 years before we can go back there again. We have to save some money first for airfare and for the other expenses. So for the meantime,I have to be contented seeing them on webcam and hearing them on the phone.

We are leaving...

Yes we are leaving today. Our 3 month vacation is over. For me,it was not even long,I preferred that we stayed more longer so that I could spend much time with my family.

I am sad coz I don't know when we will comeback again here in Philippines.Maybe after 2 or 3 years,I hope the soonest.I will surely miss my family.Though I can call them everyday and see them on webcam but nothing compares when they are near me.Also Alex has a close relationship to my sister and I am sure he gonna look for his tita.

Samal Island

One of the beautiful places that a tourist should visit in Davao City is Samal Island. It's not actually part of Davao City but it can reach easily from the city just less than an hour. The island is very known for it's beautiful white sand beaches, forest, falls, bat cave and resorts.

Everytime we go back here in Davao,we don't forget to visit the island and go to the beach.I like Paradise Island and Blue Jazz Resort since we already been there. But I would like to go to Pearl Farm Resort.I see some of the photos and it was really a wonderful place. If only I could afford to bring my family there,I would really love to go there with them.

Eating out with my family

Last week,we went to a buffet restaurant with my family. We've been there many times and we really like eating there.I prefer bringing my family in Tita Des restaurant compare to other buffet restaurants. Not only it is affordable but also the foods were great.Eating there is like you have a complete meal course. There's appetizer, salad, soup, main dishes and desserts.

My family knows that both me and my husband really like to eat to buffet restaurants especially if it is good and affordable. And I love seeing my family enjoyed eating till their stomachs ached for being so full hahhaha.

Waterworld Beach Resort,Davao City

Last week we went to Water World Beach Resort. The place is in Toril. My family have been there for several times already but it was our first time to visit the place. We like it very much especially Alex who likes to swim at the pool and do some slides :)

They have some 5 giant slides that my son and my cousins untiredly went up and had non stop slides.I like it that they don't have some corkages on beverages and foods. You can bring lots of them without paying any extras. You just have to pay the entrance fee and that's all.

We really had so much fun there and hopefully we will be back this coming Saturday again.

People's Park,Davao City

The last time we went on vacation in Davao City 3 years ago,People's Park was still under construction. Finally this time we were able to see the park. The place is very huge. There are lots of tribes sculptures, play grounds for the kids and beautiful gardens.

The place is very nice and clean.People can have a picnic there if they like, there are some tables and chairs where they can eat. It's free so all people are welcome to visit the place.

Photos I captured in previous chaos in Bangkok

When we were there in Bangkok last May 14,the intense chaos started.Streets were closed and protesters kept burning tires to make some smoke (really an undesirable odor). We couldn't visit the central Bangkok because it was occupied by the protesters. So mostly we visited the places at the outskirts of Bangkok.

You know what, everytime we go back to the hotel and passed the streets where some of the protesters were camping,we were so afraid. But thanked God,nothing happened to us.

I am happy that things are getting back to normal now in Bangkok.Hope the next time we visit there,no more bad scenarios. We really would like to go back there again.

Suvarnabhumi Airport,Bangkok Thailand

Suvarnabhumi Airport in Bangkok Thailand is so big.I guess it's one of the biggest airport in the world. The airport itself is very clean. If you are hungry,no problem coz there are many fastfoods and restaurants inside. And if you want to shop, there's a big duty free shopping center there. There are also some thai sculptures and statues inside the airport that add attraction.

I like their airport but they must add many chairs coz there are many local people and tourists passengers who are just standing waiting their turn to check in.

Vacation in Bangkok

We were in Bangkok,Thailand for 8 days. Our vacation went well but unfortunately we couldn`t roam around in the center of Bangkok because the protesters were there and they closed the roads. We couldn`t even go around at night coz there was a curfew and some places were occupied by the protesters.

But the chaos in Bangkok didn`t stop us to enjoy our vacation. We went to Grand Palace,The Reclining Buddha,Ayutthaya, the ancient capital city of Bangkok,Siam Park,Samphran Elephant Zoo,Dream World and their famous market Chatuchak, the largest market in the world. We really had a great time there. Our unforgettable experiences were when we ride the elephants, embracing and caressing them and to be able to see the man putting his head inside the mouth of the crocodile.

My husband said that we will surely go back to Bangkok.I just hope that the next time we go there, the city will be in normal and safe again.

Chaos in Bangkok

We are here in Bangkok since last Friday.Since we arrive, the situation here became more hard.We always see some smoke from the burning tires, many armies and police outside.Whenever we go back to our hotel, numerous times we passed the Victory Monument where some of the protesters stay that made me afraid.

Yesterday was the worst, there was a curfew from 8PM-6AM to all the places surrounding Bangkok.Lots of establishment were burned. All the malls, offices, stores were closed so early.

Though our hotel is not very far from the camp of red shirts(Pratunam,Silom, etc),we are still safe here.Too bad that we couldn't go to Malls or even roam around at night. It's really a bad timing vacation for us but nevertheless,we enjoyed our time visiting the outskirts of Bangkok.

Paseo dela Argentina of Retiro Park ,Madrid Spain

Retiro Park or Patque del Buen Retiro is one of the places we visited when we went to Madrid last year.It is large and also the main park of the city.In this park you can see the Monument of Alfonso XII,the Paseo dela Argentina and the Estanque del Retiro or Retiro Pond.

Some photos of the Paseo dela Argentina:

Plaza Mayor,Madrid Spain

When we visited Madrid last year,we never forgot to visit Plaza Mayor. They said that it's the biggest square in the city. The Plaza Mayor has beautiful painted facades that I really like.

In this place you can see many shops selling nice souvenirs and there are lots of food chains and restaurants nearby too.

Medieval village of Montlucon

Last Wednesday we went to the medieval village of Montlucon. We already went there but unfortunately my camera got broke just after we visited the place. So all my photos were gone :( It was a beautiful day and Mr. Sunshine was there,so we had a nice time roaming around.

St Peter's Basilica,Vatican Italy

The majority of Filipinos are catholic.Aside of wanting to go to Bethlehem in Israel, many of them dream to go to St Peter's Basilica too.It was a dream come true for me when we visited the Vatican city 2 years ago and saw the very known Basilica in the world.
